We at Christ Lutheran create and maintain programs to meet the needs and opportunities for service to the community.  Our congregation has been actively involved in numerous programs and events such as:  the Caring Place, the Backpack Buddy Program, Meals on Wheels, and Helping Hands Tutoring.  You can read more about those four service projects by clicking on the appropriate links at the top of the Service page.  In addition to those four ongoing service projects, we at Christ Lutheran are involved in numerous projects such as:

Hope Alliance-in which we collect supplies for this Williamson County women’s shelter http://www.hopealliancetx.org/

Faith in Action Caregivers-in which we provide drivers and promote their fundraisers http://www.faithinactioncaregivers.org/georgetown_texas.php

Relay for Life-in which we provide walkers and donors for this walk to support cancer research, held in late April http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR?pg=entry&fr_id=32406

Crop Walk-in which we have had over 20 walkers and collected over $2,000.  It is held in October.  25% of the proceeds raised to fight hunger will stay in the Georgetown community with 12.5% going to the Caring Place and the other 12.5% going to Meals on Wheels.

Peanut Butter/Jelly Campaign-in which during July members donated 170 jars of peanut butter and 170 jars of jelly, a month’s supply for local Meals on Wheels clients.

Blood Drives-which resulted in more than 20 blood donors each time.  We also promote giving at the Blood Center in Wolf Ranch.

Various collections-church members collect various products for multiple causes that assist ill or needy children with monetary help or supplies.
